Fly Fishing 101 - Join us any Saturday in July and learn fly-fishing basics FREE.

Orvis and Trout Unlimited have partnered to offer a new industry event aimed at introducing new fly fishers to the sport. Never before has there been such an organized effort across so many locations to give new fly fishers a chance to learn this great sport - and we're doing it for FREE! If you've ever had a desire to learn the sport of fly fishing, now is the time. All ages and skill levels are welcome. The event will kick off in July 2010. Here's an itinerary of activities and events!

• Every Saturday in July from 9AM-12PM we'll be offering FREE one hour fly-casting classes and FREE classes on rigging your own fly rod and reel outfit - including leader and knot-tying demonstrations. Space is limited in these classes, Please RSVP to reserve your space.
• Upon completion of the courses, every participant will receive a $15 Orvis savings card good toward Orvis product purchases on the day of the event.
• Each participant will receive a free one-year trial membership to Trout Unlimited - a $35 value.  During a year of TU membership you'll receive four issues of Trout magazine, a 16-month fly fishing calendar, and membership in your local TU chapter.

If you have a child interested in fly fishing or who just likes to fish here is an opportunity to expose them to the sport of fly fishing.  Doug Bear and Orvis Representative and Instructor, will be giving an informative presentation geared toward children on the aspects of fly fishing.  The presentation will include a brief explanation of the role of insects in fly fishing, an explantion of the equipment used and casting instructions.  Prizes will be awarded to the kids who participate.
